So you are looking for a custom myspace design for your profile page. Perhaps you are a band, a company, or an artist looking to market yourself to the millions of people currently using MySpace as a tool for networking with others.  Now what?

The first thing you should understand is that when you are marketing yourself on MySpace to potential clients or fans, you are selling an image. That image should be yours and yours alone, not a copy cat profile that blends in with the millions of other users. This is why I feel it is a huge disservice to utilize free template designs for your profile. If you want to look professional and be taken seriously you are going to have to pay a professional myspace designer or learn to code myspace yourself. I am sure that the latter is an option you would rather not do.

There are many myspace designers out there that are very talented in what they do, and understand how MySpace works and can be arranged.  On average you will spend $200 - $500 or more for a myspace design, so budget your expenses accordingly. Remember, you get what you paid for. If you go the cheapest route, more than likely you will end up with a more basic profile. If you are looking for something that stands out and attracts your fanbase, you will spend a little more, so expect it.

The biggest advantage of choosing a custom profile design over template designs is customization and personalization. You are very limited of how much personalization you can create with a standard template. But a custom myspace designer will create a profile that matches your style, personality, and even marketing goals.  They can even change aspects of your profile that you dont like and implement new styles to meet your needs and creative vision.

So before you begin marketing online with a MySpace profile, ensure that your profile stands out and is appealing to your audience. Get a custom MySpace design by a professional MySpace designer.

I am making a move to New York in July, and as I am going through some of my old artwork, I wanted to offer some of my favorite pieces for sale to help make the move to New York a little bit easier. Below you will find the paintings that I am going to be parting with, as well as a description about them. If you would like to purchase one of them, send me an email at general@tophermichaelyoung.com with an offer. Remember, these are all original pieces and there are no prints or reprints of any kind. I am not going to give them away so please do not send ridiculous offers.

Piece #1 - Merlot

Merlot - Acrylic/Oil painting

This piece is titled “Merlot”. I created and painted this piece back in 2004, so its just a little over 5 years old now. I absolutely love this piece and parting with it will be pretty hard. This piece holds alot of personal symbolism and meaning to me. It wasnt painted on canvas, but actually woodboard. Back when I could barely afford canvas and was going through a very rough time in my life, I would often find things that I could paint on. I happened to stumble upon this piece of woodboard one afternoon and couldn’t let it just go to waste, so I took it home with me. It sat in the living room where I could see it for weeks. My girlfriend at the time wanted me to get rid of it, because it was “junk”. I told her that I was going to use it to create something beautiful from it. At the time she was skeptical because it literally looked horrible.

Many ideas flowed into my head about what I wanted to make with the wood, but nothing was ever right. Then one day, I just sat down and grabbed my brushes and my paint, never thinking about what I wanted to do, and just started painting. After a few brush strokes, I started to plan how each brush stroke would turn out. I knew then what the final product would. I imagined in my mind a swirling glass of merlot. I saw the reflection of light…the deep red liquid swirling around the glass, and eventually…I was done. I managed to turn a piece of trash into a work of art that I hung proudly for 5 years.

This piece is currently unframed and the size and dimensions are 20″ w x 42″ h. I will sell this painting to the highest offer. I apologize but I will not accept any offers under $200 for this piece.

Piece #2 - Liquidity

The second piece I am offering for Sale is “Liquidity”. This piece is from 2003 and is on 16″ x 20″ canvas board and comes already framed and ready to hang.

Liquidity - Topher Michael Young

This piece is abstract styled. Sometimes I really enjoy just painting. Creating brush strokes, dimension and style. What came about on this particular painting was a very liquid intertwining within one another. The purpose behind this was really to symbolize life in general. Life is free flowing and while intertwining individual particles make up the entire concept, it never ceases. One section ends and another begins, in a never ending death and rebirth of infinite vitality.

You Can Also Make An Offer On These Works In Progress!

They arent finished yet, but hey, if you want them them I will certainly get them done in no time for you.

First, the Hugh Laurie Caricature painting. Who doesnt love them some House?

House- Topher Michael Young

This is a 16″ x 20″ painting on canvas unframed. Its a mix media of oil and acrylic.

The Second work in progress is a very large painting of 24″ x 48″. This piece is of a representation of an Archangel…not the beautiful creatures we read about in the Bible, but rather, the warriors and non-merciful creatures that they are claimed to be.

I have been working HARD on building an amazing new site for artists. This is something I have poured my heart into to provide quality content. I am working with experts to come and partake in this site as well.

So to keep it brief, here is my site.

So here it is, 2:36am and I am still up and working. I can’t help it. I love what I do that I sometimes just dont want to stop. I am very motivated and work very hard to accomplish what I set my heart out to do and it doesnt help that I am very meticulous about every detail as well.

I just wish other companies would work as hard and as fast as I do. I am waiting for two of my sites to finally allow my domains to be transferred. One site I have been waiting over a day now. I should hopefully be ready by tomorrow or my hosting company will be getting ANOTHER call. I do have to admit though, the last time I called, they helped me save about $30 a month on hosting, so if thats the case then I cant be TOO upset.

Then there is Google. My online businesses are almost dependent, ok majorly ARE dependent on Google functioning and working properly, but alas, they are extremely slow with their end as well. What is supposed to be a 24-48 hour process has turned into almost an entire week. Now they are saying that it could take up to 24 days to process. That is just ridiculousness and utter insanity. Their delay is costing me money. I will be ok though…vent over.

Anyways, just yesterday I sat down and wrote out my business model and was floored when I realized the amount of money I will be earning by implementing very simple additions to my online businesses. I mean the amount of money is not a few bucks here and there, but literally a few thousand dollars a month increase. One site alone will bring me $10k a month in just 5 months time. Its just absolutely insane. And that’s only ONE of my sites. I currently own several and am continuing my website domain collection. Its a hobby I guess. Some people collect spoons. I collect websites. Except mine bring me money.

Now that I have managed to kill another 10-15 minutes I might retire for the night…or get sidetracked and continue chipping away at the many projects I am working on.

Hey everybody! Its certainly been quite some time since I have written a blog. I am sure that you noticed that the site has changed quite a bit. For those that do not know, I have been rather busy. Not only do I own my own graphic design company, but I just recently started 3 more online businesses!

Working out of my own home is probably one of the greatest feelings anyone can have. I am a workaholic, as many of you that speak to me on a personal basis might already know.

I wanted to extend an invitation to all of you to get to know me a little bit more. Please feel free to send me an email or even a message on my social networking sites. Let me know what you are up to and how things are going for you. I will do my best to follow up with you and return the favor. Most of you probably know I am terrible at getting back with people, but I am trying change that. If I do not respond right away, please note that I will do my best to respond as soon as I can.
